Its members are suspected of involvement in the arson attack on an industrial facility near a state-owned defense industry enterprise in September.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reuters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/russian-sabotage-network-believed-have-caused-romanian-fire-prosecutors-say-2026-10-26\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reports<\/a> this.<\/p>\n<p>According to Romanian intelligence, the exposed network is involved in a fire at an industrial facility in the central part of the country. It is located near a state-owned enterprise operating in the defense industry.<\/p>\n<p>The special services claim that the network&#8217;s coordinators targeted state and private arms production enterprises, as well as other facilities of military and industrial importance.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, prosecutors investigating organized crime are seeking the extradition of three suspects. Two of them are Belarusian citizens detained in Germany, and the third is a Ukrainian citizen detained in Poland. All three are suspected of involvement in the arson.<\/p>\n<p>Romanian President Nicos Dan has previously accused Russia of waging a hybrid war against countries supporting Ukraine, which he said includes drone violations, cyberattacks, disinformation campaigns, sabotage, and attacks on cargo ships near Romanian waters.<\/p>\n<p>The publication notes that it was unable to promptly obtain a comment from the Russian Embassy in Bucharest.
