Ukraine, the US, and Russia may hold trilateral talks on a ceasefire as early as November 4. A preliminary meeting is planned to be organized in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> The Guardian, citing Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.<\/p>\n

According to the Polish Prime Minister, European leaders are already discussing preparations for a possible meeting. In particular, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr St\u00f8re had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin.<\/p>\n

Tusk said that before this they consulted with him, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and US representatives.<\/p>\n

The Polish Prime Minister was also aware of the planned conversation with Putin. According to him, Stubb and St\u00f6re assured that they would adhere to the common position of the coalition of the willing and were ready to take political responsibility for this contact.<\/p>\n

After the conversation, Stubb informed Tusk that the parties had maintained their positions. At the same time, European politicians expressed cautious optimism about the possibility of achieving progress during the talks in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n

Earlier, it was reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the leaders of Finland and Norway their conversation with Putin<\/a> . In particular, the topic was attacks on Ukrainian energy and preparation for trilateral talks.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, earlier on October 27, Stubb and St\u00f6re had a telephone conversation with Putin<\/a> regarding the end of the war in Ukraine. The Finnish President’s Office reported that the contact took place after preliminary consultations with the Ukrainian side.<\/p>\n
