In Poland, former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on October 31 his intention to initiate a constructive vote of no confidence in the government of Donald Tusk. He proposed former Speaker of the Sejm, Marek Jurek, as the new head of government, and the interim cabinet is to operate until the parliamentary elections in 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mateusz Morawiecki, who heads the political alliance “Rozw\u00f3j Plus”, announced his intention to seek the resignation of Donald Tusk’s government through the mechanism of a constructive vote of no confidence. He published a corresponding statement on the social network X on October 31.<\/p>\n

The initiative came amid an aggravation of the conflict surrounding the Constitutional Tribunal of Poland. According to information in the incoming material, on October 30, it was announced that the institution’s leadership would be dismissed.<\/p>\n

Morawiecki proposed Marek Jurek, who headed the Sejm in 2005-2007, for the position of Prime Minister. The idea is to form an interim government that should stabilize the political situation and prepare the country for the next parliamentary elections in 2027.<\/p>\n

Morawiecki stated the need to reform the Constitutional Tribunal, while at the same time expressing the opinion that the current government should not participate in this process due to recent events surrounding the institution.<\/p>\n

The former prime minister also accused Tusk’s government of attempting to illegally seize the Constitutional Tribunal. This statement is Morawiecki’s political assessment, not a fact established by the court.<\/p>\n
