Now, a doctor will assess whether a person needs an adapted car, and specific equipment will be determined by authorized employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The changes are provided for by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution <a href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/668-2026-%D0%BF#Text\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">No. 668.<\/a><\/p>\n<p> During a medical examination, the doctor will assess the person&#8217;s health and indicate in the medical certificate whether the person needs a vehicle adaptation for safe driving.<\/p>\n<p> If such a need is confirmed, employees of the regional service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will determine what adaptations are needed. This may be a special manual control or additional devices. At the same time, based on the results of the assessment, they may determine that the vehicle adaptation is not necessary.<\/p>\n<p> After the assessment, the driver will be issued a separate certificate. Information about the required equipment will be entered in column 12 of the driver&#8217;s license in the form of special codes.<\/p>\n<p> The new rules only apply to people who need special equipment to drive due to a medical condition.
