Russia may try to use the “Korean scenario” to gain control of all the occupied territories in one quasi-country.
This was reported by the head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov.
“After many failures near Kyiv and the inability of overthrowing the central government of Ukraine, Putin is already changing the main operational directions to south and east. There are reasons to believe that he is considering a “Korean” scenario for Ukraine. That is, he will try to impose a border between the free and occupied regions of Ukraine. In fact, it is an attempt to create North and South Korea in Ukraine. After all, he definitely cannot swallow the whole country. The occupiers will try to conquer the occupied territories into a single quasi-state entity that will be opposed to independent Ukraine. Attempts to create “parallel” authorities in the occupied territories are already visible, as well as attempts to force people to give up hryvnia, the national currency. They may want to bargain about it at the international level as well”, says Kyrylo.
Budanov is convinced, that the issue of establishing a land corridor in Crimea is still relevant for the Russian fascist regime.
But the main problem for the implementation of this plan is the indelible Mariupol, which already deflects significant forces of this plan is the indelible Mariupol, which already deflects significant forces of the enemy.
