Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello said 100 people were killed during the US operation to capture Nicolas Maduro.

This was reported by the Reuters news agency.

Previously, Venezuela did not disclose the number of dead. However, the army published a list containing the names of 23 soldiers who died.

In addition, some Venezuelan officials claimed the “cold-blooded” killing of a significant part of Maduro’s security service, and Cuba claimed the elimination of 32 members of its military and intelligence services in Venezuela.

Venezuela’s interim president on Tuesday declared a week of mourning for the fallen soldiers.

Among other things, Cabello noted that during the raid, Maduro suffered a leg injury and his wife suffered a head injury.

Recall that US President Donald Trump ordered strikes on targets inside Venezuela on Saturday, January 3. The Venezuelan government subsequently declared a state of emergency in the country due to the American attack .

Trump later announced that Nicolas Maduro and his wife had been captured and taken out of Venezuela.

It has been reported that Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife have been charged with conspiracy for the purpose of “narco-terrorism” and for the purpose of “importing cocaine.”
