The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution on the organization and holding of art competitions that will select cultural and artistic projects within the framework of the initiative of the President of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.
Applications for participation in the program will be available from April 3 to June of this year through open competitions.
The initiative covers various areas: feature and documentary films and series, animation projects, children’s films, contemporary music, performative and visual art, audiovisual shows, and videos for social networks.
Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture Tetyana Berezhna emphasized that the program was created at the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky. It is designed to shape the Ukrainian cultural and information space as an alternative to Russian content.
“The program will stimulate the development of cultural and creative industries, which are an important sector of the economy, through investments, new jobs, and market expansion,” Berezhna added.
