Another 11 children from the temporarily occupied Kherson region were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
This was announced by the head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin.
Thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, eight girls and three boys were returned, who are being raised in nine families.
The youngest child is only four years old, the oldest is seventeen. Among them is also one child deprived of parental care.
“These boys and girls were forced to study according to the Russian curriculum, participate in propaganda events, some experienced “visits” from armed FSB officers and stay in so-called “re-education camps”. And all this – just because they are Ukrainians,” the post says.
The children are now safe and receiving all the support they need.
In total, since the beginning of the year, 67 children have already been evacuated from the currently occupied communities of the Kherson region.
As a reminder, as part of the presidential initiative Bring Kids Back UA, we managed to return two more Ukrainian teenagers who had been living in the occupied territories since 2022.
As reported, during the negotiations in Istanbul, the head of the Russian delegation, Volodymyr Medinsky , responded to Ukraine’s demand to return the kidnapped Ukrainian children with a request “not to put on a show for European grandmothers.”
