Former Miss Switzerland winner Beatrice Coyle has claimed that Donald Trump raped her in November 1993 at the Plaza Hotel in New York. She said that before the attack, Trump promised to help her with her studies and move to the United States, and after the incident, he demanded that she remain silent.
This is reported by Bild, citing a report by Democrats on the Judiciary Committee of the US House of Representatives.
Coyle said she met Trump at an event related to the American Dream Pageant. She was 24 at the time. According to her, the American businessman promised to help her obtain a visa and enroll in New York University.
At the same event, the woman met Jeffrey Epstein. He introduced himself to her as “Don’s best friend” and, according to Coyle, invited her to parties.
After the press event, a Trump representative allegedly invited her to meet him in a hotel room. Coyle agreed, hoping to discuss educational and career opportunities.
The Democratic report states that Trump grabbed a woman from behind and raped her in the room. Coyle claims he tore her dress and she was bruised and bleeding after the attack.
According to the woman, Trump then mentioned the promised help again, but at the same time insisted that she not tell anyone about what had happened. According to Coyle, he told her: “The show must go on.”
After the incident, the woman returned to Switzerland. She later declined an invitation to participate in another beauty pageant that Trump was organizing in Hawaii.
In 2024, Coyle had already spoken publicly about unwanted kissing and touching by Trump, but she did not accuse him of rape at the time. She explained that she was afraid of threats and pressure, so she did not dare to talk about her experiences for a long time.
A report by US House Democrats includes testimony from 11 women who accuse Trump of sexual harassment, assault and other sexual crimes. Five of them alleged rape or sexual assault.
The White House has denied the allegations and called the report politically motivated. The testimony in the document is based on statements from women and does not, by itself, prove Trump’s guilt in a criminal offense.
As a reminder, Democrats in the US Congress are demanding the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate President Donald Trump’s alleged ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein . They also accuse the Justice Department of hiding evidence in the case.
