Unexpected Twist: Trump Says Ukraine May Return to 1991 Borders

US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is capable of restoring its territory to its original state.
He made the statement on the social network Truth Social.
“Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, has every opportunity to fight and return all of its territory to its original form. With time, patience, and financial assistance from Europe, and especially NATO, restoring the borders that existed before the war is quite realistic. Why not?” the post reads.
According to Trump, after becoming familiar with the military and economic situation between Ukraine and Russia, he saw serious problems for the Kremlin.
He added that Russia has been waging war against Ukraine for three and a half years without a clearly defined goal.
The U.S. president expressed confidence that once residents of Russian cities and regions learn the truth and realize that most of the country’s money is being spent on the war, Ukraine will be able to fully restore its territory.
In addition, he suggested that Kyiv might not stop at its own borders.
“Putin and Russia are in great economic trouble today, and now is the time for Ukraine to act. In any case, I wish both countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO, and the Alliance will be able to use them as it sees fit,” Trump concluded.
