The fuel crisis continues in Eastern Siberia and the Russian Far East – the Irkutsk Region, Buryatia, and Transbaikal Territory have been added to the list of regions where gasoline shortages have occurred.

As reported by The Moscow Times, starting October 21, the Baikal Regional Company (BRK) gas station network has imposed restrictions on the sale of gasoline — no more than 20 liters of AI-92 in one hand. The company explained that this is a forced measure due to disruptions in fuel supplies from Rosneft and Gazprom. The restrictions are in effect indefinitely.

Fuel problems have been recorded in the cities of Irkutsk, Angarsk, Ulan-Ude, in the Zagraevsky district of Buryatia, as well as in Chita and throughout the Trans-Baikal Territory.

In addition, in some regions, gasoline has completely disappeared from gas stations – there is no fuel at Rosneft gas stations, and in Krasnoyarsk there are reports of disruptions in the Gazpromneft network.

Residents of Krasnokamensk said that there is only one gas station in the city, where huge queues form. According to them, the remaining gas stations have run out of all the main types of fuel — AI-92, AI-95, AI-100, as well as diesel.

We remind you that in temporarily occupied Crimea, all brands of gasoline have disappeared from gas stations.

As reported, in temporarily occupied Crimea , the number of gas stations selling gasoline has decreased by 50%.

In addition, new rules for trading diesel fuel will come into effect in Russia on September 23. Putin is trying to contain the rapid rise in fuel prices by introducing new restrictions for exchange participants and price controls. The shortage arose due to systematic attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian oil refineries.

It should be noted that over the past two months, the number of gas stations in Russia has decreased by 360, which is approximately 2.6% of the total number. According to statistics, every fiftieth station has stopped selling gasoline.

It is worth adding that the Russian authorities plan to extend the ban on gasoline exports until the end of 2025, as well as introduce new restrictions on the export of diesel fuel.
