2026 Olympics Opening Ceremony: When Does It Start and Where to Watch?

The 2026 Winter Olympics will open in Milan on Friday, February 6.
The grand opening ceremony will be broadcast live on the Suspilne Sport TV channel and on Suspilne’s regional channels. The live broadcast will begin at 9:00 PM Kyiv time.
The main opening events will take place in several cities at once. The central arena will be the legendary San Siro stadium in Milan, as well as Cortina d’Amezzo, where part of the ceremony will take place.
The flag of Ukraine will be carried by skater Elizaveta Sidorko in Milan, and skeletonist Vladyslav Geraskevych in Cortina.
In addition, symbolic ceremonies will be held in Livigno and Predazzo. Snowboarder Annamarie Dancha and ski jumper Yevhen Marusiak will come out with “Ukraine” signs. Thus, Ukraine will be represented at several Olympic locations at once.
Ukraine will be represented by 46 athletes in 11 sports at the 2026 Olympics.
As you know, the Olympic Games will be held in Italy from February 6 to 22.
