The command of the South Group of Forces stated that the situation with the servicemen of the 121st Separate Terroir Defense Brigade is under control, and the unit should be rotated in the near future. At the same time, the military emphasized that the video message of the fighters reflects only a separate part of the difficult situation on the front.
This was reported by the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.
The command noted that the 121st Separate Brigade is carrying out combat missions on a “complex and dynamic section of the front” and is under continuous fire from Russian troops.
“The personnel of the unit demonstrate heroism and resilience, holding the lines,” the command said.
At the same time, they responded to the information voiced by the servicemen in a video message. According to the Southern Defense Forces, the data provided by the soldiers do not reflect the full context of the situation and the measures taken by the command.
In particular, the command stated that over the past 30 days, about 240 kg of food was delivered to the position of the soldiers of the 121st Brigade.
Measures are also currently being taken to rotate the unit. The Southern Defense Forces stressed that the main priority remains the life and health of the military.
“The rotation will be carried out as soon as the security situation allows, so as not to expose personnel to critical risk during regrouping,” the statement said.
The command called on the public and the media not to draw premature conclusions about the situation and not to make emotional assessments, noting that the course of events is directly controlled by the command of the group.
We will remind, earlier a video appeal of servicemen of the 121st separate territorial defense brigade to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty appeared on the Internet. The servicemen performing tasks in the Zaporizhia direction reported on the long stay in positions, problems with rotation, and a shortage of food and drinking water.
