25-year-old Zarya footballer Vladimir Belotserkovets has died
On August 6, at the age of 26, midfielder of Luhansk “Zarya” Vladimir Belotserkovets tragically died.
The football club announced this on its official website.
“The Zorya Football Club expresses its sincere condolences to the player’s family and relatives. We will all remember him as a professional, a good and responsive person. Patience and strength to the family of Vladimir Belotserkovets…”, the statement reads.
The club has not yet disclosed the cause and circumstances of the death.
Player’s career
Volodymyr Belotserkovets was born on January 22, 2000 in the city of Hola Prystan, Kherson region. A graduate of the academies of Kharkiv “Metalist” and Luhansk “Zorya”, he played as a midfielder.
His last official match for Zorya was on May 25, 2025, against Karpaty. Zorya won that match 3-1, and Belotserkovets was in the starting lineup and was replaced in the 70th minute.
The footballer was not included in the squad for the first round match of the new UPL season against LNZ, which ended in a goalless draw.
