The search and rescue operation in the capital has been completed after the massive Russian strike that occurred on June 17. The work lasted more than 39 hours.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that the Solomiansky district of Kyiv was the most affected. It was there that rescuers pulled the bodies of 23 victims from under the rubble.

In total, 28 people were killed and over 140 others were injured in the city as a result of the enemy attack.

“Unfortunately, at this location alone, the bodies of 23 victims were recovered from the rubble. In total, 28 people died in the capital as a result of Russian shelling on June 17, and more than 140 were injured,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.

Over 400 rescuers from the State Emergency Service and over 200 pieces of equipment, including drones, emergency rescue and engineering equipment, were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the Russian strike. Dog handlers worked with search dogs.

Rescuers were able to pull two people alive from the rubble. They also managed to unblock about 50 people from apartments and entrances.

More than 220 people received psychological assistance on the spot. More than 300 police officers monitored law and order — they will remain on duty as long as necessary. In addition, almost 500 reports were recorded from residents of the capital about damage to their property.

Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the number of confirmed deaths from the Russian missile attack on June 17 had increased to 28.

Recall, on the night of Tuesday, June 17, the Russian occupation army launched a massive combined strike on Kyiv . The attack killed 14 people and injured more than 50 others.
