A 10-year-old boy died in a road accident in the Kyiv region, another child was hospitalized: all the details of the incident

In the village of Hatne, Fastiv district, Kyiv region, a road accident occurred involving a Peugeot car and an electric scooter, on which two children were riding. As a result of the accident, a 10-year-old boy died, another child was injured and hospitalized.

This is reported by the police of the Kyiv region.

According to law enforcement, the accident occurred on May 3 at 6:11 p.m. on Chumatska Street.

It has been previously established that the 37-year-old driver of a Peugeot car was driving on the main road and collided with an electric scooter at the intersection with Troyandova Street, which is a secondary road.

There were two young children on the electric scooter.

A 10-year-old boy died at the scene of the accident. Another victim, an 8-year-old boy, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a medical facility.

Investigators of the Kyiv Region Police Investigation Department have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of road traffic safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles, which caused the death of the victim.

By the way, in Ivano-Frankivsk on April 5 , a police officer hit a man at a pedestrian crossing and left the scene . The victim died on the spot from his injuries.

Recall that in March, a 25-year-old SUV driver hit a street sweeper driven by a 55-year-old man. The victim died at the scene from his injuries.
