Verkhovna Rada Considers Bill Permitting Men Aged 18–22 to Travel Abroad.
This is stated on the Verkhovna Rada website and in a comment by People’s Deputy Fedir Venislavsky for Suspilne.
The Verkhovna Rada website states that the draft law was received on August 22 and submitted to the leadership for consideration the same day.
According to Venislavsky, the bill is a continuation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s initiative to allow men under 22 to travel abroad.
He also noted that permission could be granted by the Cabinet of Ministers through the adoption of a resolution outlining the rules for leaving Ukraine during martial law.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the government to prepare changes that would simplify crossing the state border for men under the age of 22.
By the way, the Servant of the People proposed expanding the possibilities for Ukrainians to travel abroad during martial law, allowing this not only to young men, but also to everyone who has legal grounds for a deferment from mobilization.
