A car hit two soldiers in Ternopil: all the details of the incident

In Ternopil on September 27 at around 7:30 pm on Ivanna Blazhkevich Street, the driver of a Daewoo Lanos ran over two servicemen.

The National Police of the Ternopil region reported this.

According to preliminary information from law enforcement, during the training exercise, the soldiers checked the driver’s military registration documents. The man refused to provide them, locked himself in the car, and subsequently drove off, resulting in injuries to two soldiers.

Another soldier, the press service added, used a device for shooting rubber balls and fired at the car’s tire. No one was injured.

“The injured soldiers were taken to the hospital. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, reviewing CCTV footage, and interviewing witnesses and eyewitnesses. A decision is being made on whether to include information about this incident in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations,” law enforcement officials added.
