After a warm start to spring, a cold snap has arrived in Ukraine. It is raining in most regions, and the air temperature has dropped. It is coldest in the west, and in the Carpathians, thermometers can drop almost to zero.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko in a commentary for UNIAN.
According to her, the temperature “has become much more moderate.” In the west, daytime temperatures are expected to be only 4–9 degrees Celsius, while in the Carpathian highlands, temperatures near zero are possible at night and in the morning.
“There has been, so to speak, a rotation of air masses: from dry air masses to moist ones. This is very good. In the near future, the weather in most territories of Ukraine will be determined by atmospheric fronts,” she explained.
Rain will fall across the country in the coming days. As the weather forecaster notes, such precipitation is especially needed now after the dry start to spring.
At the same time, there is no talk of a sharp cooling. Didenko assured that the temperature will remain moderate.
“The air temperature has already dropped. It may still be a little lower, but not much. The western part of Ukraine will be the coldest. A humid air mass will prevail throughout the week,” Didenko added.
