A famous Ukrainian actor has died.

Ukrainian actor Oleg Gusev died at the age of 56 after a long battle with illness.

His friend and colleague, comedian Vadim Michkovsky , announced his loss by posting a touching message on social media. He noted that Gusev was a man with a big heart, who brought friends together and spread positivity.

The actor’s funeral took place on March 24 at the monastery on the grounds of the Botanical Garden. Following the ceremony, he was cremated at Baikove Cemetery in Kyiv.

Oleg Gusev was born in Bila Tserkva and educated at the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University . However, he dedicated his life to his acting career.

The actor’s work includes roles in famous Ukrainian films and TV series, in particular Rhinoceros , I Work in a Cemetery , In That Region of Heaven and Vaska Nemeshaev .

In recent years, he has collaborated with FILM.UA Group , continuing to actively act and remaining a recognizable and beloved actor.
