A fatal accident involving military personnel occurred in Cherkasy region

Two servicemen of the territorial recruitment center and one civilian were killed in a road accident in Cherkasy region. Two more people were injured.

This was reported by the Cherkasy Regional CCC and the regional police.

“On April 30, 2026, a road accident occurred near the settlement of Knyazha, Zvenyhorod district, resulting in the death of a civilian and two servicemen of the Zvenyhorod RTCC and SP. Another serviceman and a civilian were taken to a medical facility with varying degrees of injuries,” the post says.

The police clarified that there was a collision between two cars. Law enforcement officers are currently investigating all the circumstances of the accident.

The CCC also noted that the deceased servicemen had previously participated in hostilities in the Kharkiv and Donetsk directions.

The causes of the accident are being established.
