A fatal accident occurred in Kyiv: two people died, three more were injured

On Sunday, September 7, at around 5:00 p.m., a fatal traffic accident involving two cars occurred in Kyiv.

This was reported to the Kyiv Police.

As law enforcement officials said, two cars — an Audi and a Nissan — collided in the Darnytskyi district on the Kharkiv highway.

The 24-year-old driver of an Audi, who was speeding, crossed into the oncoming lane, where he collided with another vehicle.

As a result of the impact, the driver and passenger of the Audi died on the spot. The driver and passenger of the Nissan were injured and hospitalized.

A pedestrian who was nearby at the time of the accident was also injured and taken to a hospital.

“The investigative and operational group of the capital’s main police department continues to work at the scene to investigate the accident. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules,” the report says.

Earlier, on August 29 , a traffic accident involving a police car occurred in the center of Kyiv . One person died.
