“Just a Few Kilometers Away”: Kremlin Downplays War Reality Again
The Russian dictator’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stated that territorial disagreements between Ukraine and Russia allegedly “consist of only a few kilometers.”
RosSMI writes about the issue.
He also claims that achieving a lasting peace is already possible, but, according to him, for that to happen, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy must make “certain decisions.”
Peskov stated, “The special operation will persist until Zelenskyy demonstrates courage and assumes responsibility for his decisions.”
Furthermore, the Kremlin called the so-called “Easter truce” a “humanitarian gesture” by Vladimir Putin, emphasizing that Easter is a common holiday for Russians and Ukrainians.
At the same time, such statements contrast with the reality of the fighting, the scale of the occupied territories, and numerous reports of ceasefire violations by Russian troops.
As a reminder, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin previously announced an “Easter truce.”
At the same time, it is known that Russia does not plan to continue the so-called Easter truce, which it has described as purely humanitarian.
