A 14-year-old girl, whom the Russians planned to forcibly send to a boarding school in the Russian Federation, was returned to Ukraine from occupation.
This was reported by the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak.
“As part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA managed to save a 14-year-old girl, whom the Russian occupiers planned to forcibly send to a boarding school in the Russian Federation,” said Yermak.
According to him, after the death of his father, a Ukrainian soldier, the child remained in the occupied territory with relatives.
Russian guardianship authorities openly pressured and threatened to take the child away.
Within 24 hours, the team of the Ukrainian Network for Children’s Rights managed to complete all the documents, organize a route, and transport the girl to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
She is now safe, next to her grandmother, who has been waiting for her all these years, and receiving the help she needs to adapt and recover.
