A heat dome will cover Europe: will the abnormal heat reach Ukraine?

The African heat, which has been actively discussed in the media in recent days, does not threaten Ukraine in the near future. Despite the temperature records expected in a number of European countries, Ukraine will continue to experience comfortable summer weather without extreme heat.
This was reported by weather forecaster Vitaliy Postrygan.
According to him, currently the highest temperatures in Ukraine are far from record levels. At the same time, Western and Central Europe have already found themselves under the influence of a powerful anticyclone, which forms the so-called “heat dome.”
“Its peak will fall approximately on June 22–24, and France is preparing to experience an extreme +44°,” the forecaster noted.
He explained that most of Ukraine is currently under the influence of a cyclone from the northeast, which brings fresh air and restrains the development of intense heat.
“The atmosphere over Ukraine is not ready in the near future for the construction of a thermal dome, which could organize a long hot period,” stressed Postrygan.
According to the forecaster, the air temperature will rise slightly on June 19. At night, 11–16 degrees Celsius are expected, and during the day, from +22 to +27°.
On the weekend, June 20–21, the weather will be even warmer. Forecasters predict plenty of sun, light wind, and no precipitation. During the day, the air will warm up to +23…+28°.
“There are a few truly summer days with daytime temperatures of 25–28°. Therefore, the next few Saturdays and Sundays will warm us up, but comfortably,” he noted.
The forecaster also reminded that the summer solstice will occur on June 21, the day with the longest daylight hours of the year. After that, daylight hours will begin to gradually shorten, although summer is only gaining momentum.
