A hellish summer is on the doorstep: abnormal temperatures return to Ukraine

From June 29 to July 3, Ukraine is expected to experience moderately warm weather with a gradual increase in temperature. Starting from July 4, Ukraine will experience hot weather.

This became known from data from the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in most regions during the day will fluctuate within +21…+27 degrees Celsius. At the same time, in the south and eastern regions, the daytime temperature may reach +28…+30 degrees. At night, the thermometer will drop to +13…+18 degrees, which will provide comfortable conditions for sleep and rest.

During this period, short-term rains and thunderstorms are possible in places, especially in the central and northern regions. These atmospheric phenomena will be accompanied by gusty winds, which from time to time can increase to 5–7 meters per second. The humid atmosphere and slight precipitation will help to slightly reduce the heat, but increased humidity can create a feeling of discomfort.

Starting from July 4, a gradual increase in air temperature is forecast. During the day, the air will warm up to +31…+33 degrees, especially in the southern, eastern and central regions. At night, the temperature will remain at +17…+21 degrees. This period will be characterized by dry and hot weather, which increases the risk of fires, especially in forest areas and open areas.

In this regard, people who plan to be outdoors are advised to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak sun hours (11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), use sunscreen, drink plenty of fluids, and monitor their health. Children, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases should be especially careful.

From July 7, a gradual decrease in temperature is expected to reach a comfortable +27…+28 degrees during the day, and night temperatures will also become more pleasant — around +15…+18 degrees. This is due to the movement of atmospheric fronts, which may bring precipitation and fresh wind in places.

The wind in the coming days will be predominantly northwesterly, weak or moderate – at a speed of 3–6 m/s, but during thunderstorms, gusts of up to 8–10 m/s are possible.
