A Khmelnytskyi prosecutor received over a million hryvnias in pension after being exposed for fraudulently filing for disability.
Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office prosecutor Olga Veselovskaya was fired following an investigation into her illegal use of disability status.

According to journalists, Veselovskaya received a second-degree disability in 2019 due to the local Medical and Social Expertise Commission (MSEK), headed by Tatyana Krupa, an official exposed in a scheme to provide fictitious disability certificates to influential individuals.
Between 2019 and 2024, the prosecutor received over 1.35 million hryvnias in pension payments. After the scheme was exposed in 2024, she was required to undergo a repeat medical examination, but she failed to do so within a year. In January 2025, Veselovskaya stated that she “does not consider herself a person with a disability.”
The Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of Prosecutors concluded that her actions had discredited the prosecutor’s office and damaged its credibility. On October 2, the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission issued a binding decision to dismiss her.
Veselovskaya herself disagrees with the decision, claiming that the disciplinary case “is not related to the performance of official duties, but only to a subjective assessment of her behavior outside of work.”
Incidentally, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC), Tetyana Krupa, who was released from pretrial detention on bail of 20 million hryvnias by the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC), failed to post the required amount within the legally required timeframe . It was previously reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court had decided to change the pretrial detention measure for the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Medical and Social Expert Commission . His pretrial detention was replaced by bail of 20 million hryvnias.
