On April 21, Kyiv’s Pechersky District Court will decide on a preventive measure for a patrol police officer suspected of negligence during the April 18 terrorist attack in the capital.

Espresso correspondent Ekaterina Galko reported this.

The law enforcement officer is charged under Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—official negligence resulting in grave consequences. According to investigators, he may have abandoned the people during the attack.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the terrorist attack in Kyiv ‘s Holosiivskyi district has risen to seven. A man, who was in critical condition, died in the hospital.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the attacker who opened fire on civilians and took hostages in Kyiv had been eliminated . According to him, six people were killed in the incident, and nine more were hospitalized with injuries.

As reported, an unknown gunman opened fire on people in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district . Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko subsequently reported that a child was injured in the shooting and is currently hospitalized.
