A large refinery is on fire in Russia: the General Staff confirmed the strike on “YANOS”

Ukrainian military struck the Russian oil refinery Slavneft-YANOS in Yaroslavl. After the strike, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
They noted that the attack occurred on the night of August 28, and the extent of the damage is currently being determined.
Slavneft-YANOS is one of the largest refineries in Russia. The plant is capable of processing about 15 million tons of oil per year and produces gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, lubricants, and other petroleum products.
According to the General Staff, the enterprise is also involved in meeting the needs of Russian troops.
“Work on key enemy targets continues,” the General Staff emphasized.
As a reminder, explosions were heard in Yaroslavl, Russia, on the morning of August 28, followed by a large-scale fire at a local oil refinery . According to preliminary data, the enterprise was attacked by drones.
