A large-scale road accident occurred in the Kharkiv region, resulting in 18 people being injured.
The police reported this .
The driver of a Kia Sorento SUV, which was moving towards the city of Merefa, lost control and drove into the oncoming lane. As a result, the car collided with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger bus.
The accident injured people aged 17 to 70. Among them were passengers of the bus and SUV, as well as drivers of the vehicles.
According to law enforcement officials, all the victims were hospitalized, except for three women, who were provided medical assistance at the scene.
Under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigators opened criminal proceedings and began a pre-trial investigation.
Earlier, a road accident involving a regular bus occurred in the Kalus district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. A man died as a result of the accident, and 13 more people, including 2 children, were injured.
