A large-scale fire broke out in a warehouse in the Kyiv region: what is known

A large-scale fire broke out in a warehouse building in the Kyiv region on March 22. As a result, smoke is observed in 4 districts of Kyiv, and residents are advised to close their windows.

This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.

According to preliminary information, the fire broke out in warehouses with a total area of 3,000 m².

The Kyiv City State Administration noted that smoke is possible in the Desnyanskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, and Podilskyi districts of the capital.

The equipment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine was involved in extinguishing the fire.

“Until the air quality situation improves, we recommend that residents of these areas close their windows and limit their time outdoors,” the Kyiv City State Administration reported.

The State Emergency Service clarified that the fire occurred in the village of Pogreby in a warehouse building with an area of 5,500 sq m.

“High-level forces were involved in extinguishing the fire: more than 60 rescuers and 16 units of State Emergency Service equipment, as well as local fire departments. According to preliminary data, there are no deaths or injuries,” the institution added.

Let us recall that on Tuesday, March 10, a large-scale fire broke out at the “7th Kilometer” market, located near Odessa.
