A large-scale regime of silence began in southern Ukraine on October 27 at 03:00, which will last until November 1. The initiative is associated with the efforts of US First Lady Melania Trump to unblock the temporarily occupied Oleshki.
This was reported by the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, David Arakhamia, on Telegram .
According to him, the regime of silence covers the largest section of the front in southern Ukraine. Arakhamia called it the largest de-escalation of hostilities since 2022.
The ceasefire will be in effect until 10:59 p.m. on November 1, Kyiv time.
Arakhamia also emphasized that each such step towards de-escalation brings the end of the war and the establishment of peace in Ukraine closer.
It was previously reported that the Ukrainian military delivered humanitarian aid to occupied Oleshki for the second time, handing over almost 4 tons of food, medicine, and baby kits to residents.
