A man in the North-West Frontier Province wounded two KORD special forces officers and committed suicide.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, during a sanctioned search, a man who had the status of a person who had voluntarily left a military unit opened aimed fire on police special forces. As a result of the shooting, two KORD fighters were injured, after which the attacker committed suicide.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers noted that the search was conducted as part of criminal proceedings into the facts of fraud on a particularly large scale and illegal smuggling of persons across the state border.

“During a sanctioned search at the residence of a man who had been a deserter since September 2024, the suspect opened aimed fire on police special forces with a weapon,” the National Police reported.

According to law enforcement officials, the investigative actions were carried out by investigators of the Dnipropetrovsk region police, operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations, and fighters of the KORD special unit, who provided force support.

During the armed resistance, two KORD special forces were injured. Later, the man, while inside the house, shot himself in the head.

“The police officers have been hospitalized and are receiving all necessary medical care. There is no threat to their lives,” the police said.

Investigators, forensic experts, and other specialized services are currently working at the scene. Law enforcement officers have seized the weapon and are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the incident.

As a reminder, in the Podilskyi district of the Odessa region, during a document check, a man pulled out a grenade and detonated it . The explosion injured two police officers and the offender himself.

As reported, in Kyiv, during curfew, patrol officers detained a driver who ignored a request to stop, hit a serviceman at a checkpoint , and, while fleeing from law enforcement officers, damaged several official vehicles.
