A mine accident occurred in the Kryvyi Rih district, with miners killed.
An accident occurred at a mine in the Kryvyi Rih district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Three workers were killed in the tragedy.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this.
According to rescuers, after the accident, three miners found themselves at the lowest point of the mine shaft – at the 1,568-meter level, where water accumulates.
The body of one of the deceased was discovered by members of the State Paramilitary Mine Rescue Team of the State Emergency Service of the Russian Federation on a service bridge. Two other miners were found underwater.
Divers from the mine rescue unit were brought in to assist in the search and rescue operation. Ultimately, the bodies of all three victims were freed and, using specialized climbing equipment, transported through the mine workings to the surface.
