A monument to Mikhail Bulgakov was dismantled in Kyiv.

In the capital, a monument to Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov , which was installed on Andreevsky Spusk next to a museum dedicated to his life and work, was dismantled.

A video of the dismantling was published by journalist Ekaterina Nekrecha .

The released footage shows utility workers removing the monument and loading it into a special vehicle for subsequent removal.

The decision to remove the monument from public space was supported by the Kyiv City Council in December 2025.

The monument was located on Andreevsky Descent, one of the most famous historical streets in Kyiv, where the Bulgakov Museum is also located.
