A new way to apply for child benefits has been opened for Ukrainians: where to apply

In Ukraine, through “Diya” it is now possible to apply for assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, as well as payments for caring for a child up to a year. The monthly assistance is 7 thousand hryvnias, and for families raising a child with a disability – 10,500 hryvnias.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky.

After submitting an application online, “Diya” transfers it to the Unified Information System of the Social Sphere. The system automatically collects the necessary information from state registers and generates a decision, which is checked and approved by an employee of the Pension Fund.

Payments can also be made offline – at Pension Fund service centers, administrative service centers (CSPs), or through authorized representatives of territorial communities.

“Assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth for women who are not insured in the system of mandatory state social insurance is UAH 7,000 per month,” the head of government noted.

Childcare allowance for children under the age of one is also UAH 7,000 per month. If a family is raising a child with a disability, the amount of the payment increases to UAH 10,500 per month.
