A powerful eruption occurred on the Sun: when will the magnetic storm reach Earth?

A magnetic storm could hit the Earth in early October. The geomagnetic disturbance is expected after a coronal mass ejection that occurred on the Sun on September 28.

This is warned by the British Geological Survey.

Experts say the ejection was directed toward Earth. It is predicted that it could reach our planet’s magnetic field on or around October 2.

That’s when a G1 level magnetic storm is predicted. This is the lowest class of geomagnetic disturbances.

Such activity may cause minor problems with satellite communications, navigation, and radio communications. Auroras may also appear at high latitudes.

For most people, a G1 storm does not pose a serious threat. Experts advise following a normal sleep schedule, getting enough rest, drinking water, and not overexerting your body during this period.

At the same time, you should not automatically associate a deterioration in well-being with a magnetic storm. If you experience severe or unusual symptoms, it is better to consult a doctor.
