A Rivne TCC official was bribed with a car to be removed from the wanted list.

In December 2025, an official from the Rivne Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support organized a scheme to obtain an illegal benefit from a conscript in the form of a car.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this.

According to investigators, the official, through a subordinate intermediary, demanded payment of the majority of the cost of a 2013 Toyota Highlander in exchange for removing the man from the state “Obereg” registry and guaranteeing his exemption from further conscription during the general mobilization. The amount of the unlawful gain amounted to $12,000, part of which, according to investigators, the suspect added from his own funds.

The car was registered to a front man, but the official himself was actually using it. After the vehicle was handed over, the military conscript was removed from the wanted list. Law enforcement documented every stage of the criminal scheme.

The lieutenant colonel was notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – extortion and receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official holding a responsible position, by prior conspiracy of a group of persons.

The court ordered the suspect to remain in custody with the option of posting bail in excess of 2 million hryvnias. The possible involvement of other TCC and SP employees is also being investigated.

The penalty under this article provides for 5 to 10 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property and a ban on holding certain positions.

As a reminder, the Odessa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TRCS&SS) has launched an internal investigation into an incident involving an attempt to mobilize a marine released from captivity.

Incidentally,a serviceman from the regional territorial center for recruitment and social support was detained in Zaporizhzhia on suspicion of premeditated murder.
