A Russian attack damaged a power facility in Odessa, leaving more than 30,000 families without power.
On the night of January 19, as a result of a Russian attack in Odessa, the DTEK Odesa Electric Grids energy facility suffered significant damage.
DTEK reported this.
According to energy companies, 30,800 families remain without power due to the shelling. DTEK notes that the damage is significant, and restoring equipment will take a long time.
After receiving permission from rescuers and military personnel, power crews began emergency recovery operations. Specialists are inspecting equipment, clearing debris, and preparing for repairs.
The company notes that the primary objective is to restore power to critical infrastructure facilities to provide residents with heat and water.
According to the regional military administration, Russian troops attacked the Odessa region with attack drones overnight. The attack resulted in one casualty, and damage to residential, energy, and gas infrastructure was recorded.
A drone struck a multi-story residential building in the Odesa district. Two apartments, the building’s façade and windows, and nearby private cars were damaged. A strike was also recorded on a critical infrastructure facility.
