A Russian attack killed a person in Kyiv

Russia’s massive air strike on Kyiv killed one man and wounded 28 others.

One person was killed and 28 others were injured as a result of a massive Russian attack on Kyiv, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported.

According to him, hits on civilian infrastructure were recorded. More than ten residential buildings were damaged in various districts of the capital. Search operations are ongoing in the Dniprovskyi district; there may be a person under the rubble.

The strikes also caused damage to populated areas in the Kyiv region: about ten civilian objects were damaged, and one person was killed in Bila Tserkva.

Rescuers are extinguishing fires and clearing rubble. Police and the State Emergency Service evacuated 68 people from a geriatric nursing home in the Darnytskyi district of the capital.

As a reminder,on the night of December 27, Russian troops launched a large-scale attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The shelling resulted in the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure, and there were casualties. According to updated reports, the number of wounded in the capital has risen to 11, including a 16-year-old child.
