On the night of December 1, an explosion occurred in Russia on one of the sections of the Druzhba oil pipeline, through which the Russian Federation continues to supply oil to a number of European countries, thereby supporting its military and financial capabilities.

The incident was reported to the Public by sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the interlocutors, the oil pipeline was blown up near the settlement of Kazynski Vysilky on the Taganrog-Lypetsk section of the highway. Remotely detonated explosives were used to damage the pipeline, as well as additional combustible mixtures that provided more intense burning, the Ministry of Defense’s Emergency Management Department specified.

Residents of the surrounding areas reported hearing a loud explosion at night and bright flashes in the Kazynskie Vysilki area. Corresponding reports also appeared in local public forums.

A representative of Ukrainian military intelligence stressed that Russia’s oil infrastructure — a key source of revenue for the aggressor state and financing for its defense-industrial complex — will continue to “explode and burn” until the Kremlin stops its attack on Ukraine.

As a reminder, the European Union is considering trade measures aimed at restricting imports of Russian oil through the Druzhba gas pipeline, which is used by Hungary and Slovakia.

As reported, fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine disabled the Russian oil pipeline “Koltsevoy”, which provided resources to the Russian army.
