A series of explosions occurred in Ryazan at night: drones attacked an industrial facility

On the night of October 23, a series of powerful explosions were heard in the Russian city of Ryazan. According to local residents, the cause may have been a drone attack.

It is noted that at least ten explosions were recorded over Ryazan. Loud sounds were heard not only in the city, but also in neighboring Skopin, Ryazan Region.

Eyewitnesses say that at about 3:15 a.m., explosions were heard over the outskirts of Ryazan, followed by fires in several areas. Later, similar explosions were heard by residents of Skopin.

Russian officials said air defense systems “successfully repelled the drone attack,” but local Telegram channels reported a fire at an industrial facility, likely near the Ryazan Oil Refinery (RPE). According to some reports, access to the facility has been blocked.

The Russian Defense Ministry claims that 14 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Ryazan region, but there is no independent confirmation of these claims. At the same time, there has been no official information about casualties or damage.

As reported, on the night of October 22 , Saransk in the Republic of Mordovia was subjected to a massive attack by suicide drones, with the Saransk Mechanical Plant among the targets . The first explosions occurred around 3 a.m.; local eyewitnesses released footage showing the drones hitting the plant and a large mushroom-shaped column of flame rising above it.
