“A set of random sentences”: what is the real goal of Trump’s “peace plan”

The so-called peace plan attributed to US President Donald Trump is just a “set of random sentences” that is not worthy of serious discussion. Moreover, the appearance of this “document” is an information and psychological special operation that plays into Russia’s hands and offers Ukraine nothing but surrender.

This opinion was expressed by the chairman of the board of the “People’s Front” charity, Heorhiy Tuka.

According to him, the appearance of this “plan” may be an attempt to divert the attention of the world community from the scandalous situation unfolding in the United States. “If a discussion of this document is planned, I would like to avoid it, because there is nothing to talk about there at all,” Tuka noted.

He noted that two crises are playing out simultaneously: one in Ukraine and the other in the United States. According to Tuka, the publication of the document is an attempt by Trump to informationally “interrupt” the internal American scandal with something supposedly more significant. At the same time, the situation in Ukraine, which has become obvious to the general public, has caused shock, disappointment, and rage in society.

Moreover, the public figure is convinced that the very fact of throwing these ideas into the information space and discussing the “peace plan” is only a Russian IPSO aimed at achieving several strategic goals for the Kremlin.

Tuka emphasizes that the document essentially offers Ukraine surrender, not peace. “This is a specific special operation by Russian propagandists,” he added.

Among the main benefits for the Kremlin, the studio guest named the delay in the delivery of weapons to Ukraine and the slowdown in financing. In addition, the issue of using frozen Russian assets is being postponed, since peace negotiations make such a step inappropriate. It also contributes to the restoration of contact along the Trump-Putin line.

Another goal of the special operation, in his opinion, is to create an image of Ukraine as a “non-negotiable” party in the event of its refusal to accept the imposed conditions. All points of the document lead not to peace, but to capitulation, and this is not the first attempt to impose such a scenario on Kyiv, – summed up the chairman of the board of the “People’s Front” foundation, Heorhiy Tuka.

Earlier, key provisions of the draft US “peace plan” , allegedly agreed upon by representatives of Donald Trump and the Kremlin, became known. The document contains 28 points relating to the security, territories, economy and political future of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Institute for the Study of War stated that the “peace plan” of the US and Russia, which allegedly consists of 28 points, means the actual surrender of Ukraine and creates conditions for new aggression by the Russian Federation. Analysts emphasize that the document deprives Ukraine of key defensive positions and does not offer any real guarantees.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation with a statement, stressing that the country is going through one of the most difficult periods in its recent history. He noted that the state is under unprecedented pressure and that a difficult choice may lie ahead.
