A sharp cold snap will hit Ukraine: what will the weather be like this weekend?

This weekend, Ukrainians will experience adverse weather that is completely uncharacteristic for June. Meteorologists blame cold air masses from the north and active atmospheric fronts.

Meteorologists warn that in most of Ukraine, the air temperature will be 4-6 degrees below the climatic norm. The only exceptions will be the south and Transcarpathia.

On Saturday night, light rain is expected in the western regions, with no significant precipitation in the rest of the region. The air temperature at night will be 6-11°C, during the day 18-23°C. On Sunday morning and during the day, short-term rains are expected, with thunderstorms and squalls in places, 15-20 m/s.

In northern Ukraine, short-term rains will fall throughout Saturday, with thunderstorms in some places. The air temperature at night will be 7-12°C, and during the day it is expected to be 17-22°C. On Sunday, short-term rains, thunderstorms, hail and squalls in places, 17-22 m/s will occur during the day.

Partly cloudy skies and short-term rains are forecast for the central regions on Saturday. Thunderstorms are possible in places during the day. Air temperature – 7-12°C at night, 18-23°C during the day. On Sunday, short-term rains, thunderstorms, hail and squalls in places, 15-20 m/s will occur during the day.

In the southern part, only on Saturday afternoon, there will be light short-term rains in some places. Northwest wind, 9-14 m/s, gusts in places during the day, 15-20 m/s. The air temperature at night will fluctuate within 10-16°C, during the day 19-24°C. Warm and sunny weather is expected on Sunday, without precipitation.

In the eastern regions in the morning and afternoon of June 21, light, in some places moderate short-term rains will occur, isolated thunderstorms are possible. Air temperature – 7-12°C at night, 17-22°C. in the afternoon. Light, in some places moderate rains are expected in the afternoon of June 22, thunderstorms are possible. North-west wind, 7-12 m/s, during thunderstorms it is possible to increase to 15-20 m/s.
