A shootout broke out in the Zhytomyr region between a military CCC and a local resident: details of the incident

On Saturday, January 31, in the village of Novohuivynske, Zhytomyr region, a conflict involving the use of a starting pistol occurred between a serviceman of the CCC and a local resident. The incident did not cause any injuries to civilians.

This was reported by the police of the Zhytomyr region.

A serviceman from the territorial center for recruitment and social support was conducting mobilization activities when an argument broke out with a local resident. Passersby later joined the conflict, which complicated the situation.

A scuffle broke out between the participants in the conflict, during which the serviceman fired a shot from the starting pistol he had with him.

“No civilians were injured,” police said.

Law enforcement officers who were at the scene quickly intervened and stopped the conflict. An investigation is currently underway, within the framework of which the event will receive a final legal qualification.

A video of the incident is circulating online, showing an argument between a man in military uniform and an elderly person. The footage also includes a sound that sounds like a gunshot and foul language.

So far, the Zhytomyr Regional CCC and SP have not commented on the event.

As previously reported, on January 14, in the Lviv region, a car driver committed a shooting, firing several shots at a car of representatives of the territorial procurement center.
