A soldier who was released from captivity in May has died in the Rivne region

A 43-year-old soldier who returned from Russian captivity at the end of May died in the Rivne region.

This was announced by the mayor of Zdolbunov, Vladyslav Sukhlyak.

“We have very difficult news again… Serhiy Dobrovolsky, our compatriot who fought for Ukraine and was in captivity since 2023, has died,” the message says.

According to Sukhlyak, the soldier recently returned from captivity, and a few days ago he was met in his hometown.

“The war with the damned occupier takes the lives and health of the defenders… A bright memory and sincere condolences to Serhiy’s loved ones. Details of the burial will be announced later,” he added.
