A Starlink station that provides communications for Ukraine was on fire in Poland

A fire broke out at a Starlink ground station in Poland, which provides internet connectivity in the region, including to Ukraine. Polish authorities do not rule out that it could have been a deliberate act of sabotage.
This was reported by Reuters, citing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization of Poland, Krzysztof Gawkowski.
The fire occurred on the evening of September 23 at the Starlink ground station in Wola-Krobowska in the Masovian Voivodeship.
According to Polish services, the fire damaged the power supply equipment and the generator . The fire was extinguished, there were no injuries. As of this morning, the systems were already working.
Havkovsky said that many signs point to a deliberate attempt to disable the station.
“The fire engulfed the power plant and the generator. It is clear that the purpose of this act of sabotage was to disable the plant – effectively cutting off the internet connection and disrupting access to the network for various institutions, including the Ukrainian military,” he said.
At the same time, Polish authorities have not yet established who exactly may be involved in the incident.
Hawkowski added that there is currently no confirmation of Russian involvement, however, according to him, the nature of the incident may correspond to the methods of hybrid warfare that Warsaw associates with Moscow.
The station is operated by the state-owned telecommunications operator Exatel. It is one of the infrastructure nodes that provides internet connectivity in Poland and other countries in the region, including Ukraine.
Polish law enforcement officers and employees of the Internal Security Agency are working at the scene. They are investigating the possibility of arson and a technical malfunction.
Recall that Poland previously warned about possible Russian provocations and hybrid attacks , including sabotage against critical infrastructure.
Warsaw also stated that Russia may be preparing provocations against NATO countries , including using drones, cyberattacks, and sabotage.
