A strange show from Bankova: how the authorities are trying to extinguish “Mindichgate”

Amid the war with Russia, a rather strange show is starting to unfold within the country. Due to a complaint on YouTube, an investigation by “Ukrainian Pravda” into the activities of the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, is being demolished.
In parallel, Israeli citizen Mindich, who is under sanctions by Ukraine, is filing a lawsuit in the Pechersk court for “protection of business reputation” against People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
It all looks very symptomatic. It seems that Bankova is trying to close the topic of the so-called “Mindichgate” as quickly as possible. Because if this topic can be silenced, then no one will talk about the “Moscow train” or other very uncomfortable issues that are hanging in the air today.
And here the question is not even for politicians. The question is for the law enforcement system. NABU has just reported that there are thousands of hours of recordings in the case that can confirm or refute very serious suspicions. But at the same time, those involved in the case feel absolutely calm, return to the public space and behave as if nothing is happening.
We all understand that during a war, Ukraine needs the support of partners, weapons and assistance. But partners also look at something else – whether the country is able to investigate corruption at the highest level. Because if such stories simply disappear from the agenda, it will only mean one thing: the system is not changing.
And then a very simple question arises: What is really happening in the country?
