A TCC serviceman has been detained in Zaporizhzhia on suspicion of murder.

In Zaporizhzhia, a serviceman from the regional territorial center for recruitment and social support was detained on suspicion of premeditated murder.

This was reported by the press service of the TCC.

The statement emphasizes that the suspect’s actions are categorically condemned, as “the act with which he is accused has nothing to do with military honor, the duty of a defense attorney, or the tasks of the TCC and SP.”

The military registration and enlistment office also emphasized that military uniform does not exempt one from liability, but rather, is an aggravating circumstance.

The suspect is in pretrial detention.

The TCC management stated that it would fully cooperate with the National Police and specialized agencies in the investigation of the circumstances of the crime and that it was interested in quickly and objectively establishing the truth.

The military registration and enlistment office also expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured that they will do everything possible to ensure that the perpetrator receives a fair punishment.

A tragic incident occurred earlier in Lviv: while on duty at the territorial recruitment center, one of the service members was fatally stabbed. The victim, a combat veteran, died in the hospital the following morning.
