The Ukrainian delegation arrived in Miami for talks with US Special Representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. Russians will not be attending.
From the Ukrainian side, the negotiations will be attended by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov, Deputy Chairman of the Office of the President Serhiy Kyslytsya, and Head of the Servant of the People faction Denys Arakhamia.
There, they will discuss security agreements, particularly air defense and ending Russia’s war against Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously stated that preparations for a possible trilateral meeting between the United States, Ukraine, and Russia would be a key topic. The Ukrainian side, in particular, expects more specific dates for such talks, as they have already been postponed several times due to the situation in the Middle East.
In addition, as reported by “Pryamoy,” Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, stated that trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia have been suspended.
